Eight times a year we enjoy a creative and social workshop day at the Mount Waverley Community Centre. With ample parking and directly opposite the Mount Waverley Railway Station this venue is very easily accessible.
Generally four workshops are offered on the day, appealing to a wide range of interests and skill levels. Tutors are at hand to help you work through the kits. Unless specified, no pre-booking of workshops is required.
Just turn up on the day, select the workshop which most appeals to you and buy the kit directly from the tutor.
You may also choose to complete the workshop at home, as most kits will include detailed instructions. This is an ideal way to learn new skills or experiment with new techniques or products without a major cash outlay.
In addition this is a valuable opportunity to meet like-minded people, and discussions throughout the day often result in finding solutions to miniature-related problems and searches.
The workshop flier will detail any specific tools required; alternatively a general tool box will suffice (see the membership page for details on toolbox).
The workshops run from 10am until 3pm. During this time the VAME library, flower and leaf punches and fabric pleaters are available for use by VAME members. Tea and coffee is provided, but we ask you to bring your own mug to save the environment.
If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact Andrea at iacurrie62@gmail.com or by phone 0417 019 819 or (03) 9592 9628.
Don’t forget, your first workshop will be FREE and your only outlay will be the cost of your kits.
Unless specified differently, all workshops are in 1:12 scale.
