VAME workshops occur regularly - usually about once every six weeks. The photos on this page were taken in February 2002 at a full day workshop hosted by The Little People club in St Albans. Six workshops were offered, ranging in price from $3.00 to $20.00 for VAME members, or $4.50 to $30.00 for non-members.

The Travelling Trunk was a half day class and needed to be pre-booked. The other workshops were on-going and people could join in at any time, enabling them to work at their own pace. Jan designed and led us through the trunk workshop. Katherine facilitated the potted cacti workshop, Bev taught toy trains, Jacquie showed us how to make a working lamp with shade and Robert taught the wooden settle. All projects were in 1:12th scale, which means one inch in the miniature world equals 12 inches in the real world!

As usual, the sessions were delightful and great value for money. And we drew on a number of different skills working with a variety of materials: paper, cardboard, leather, wood, clay, fabric and paint.
